About Oklo Inc.

Oklo Inc. develops fission power plants to provide energy at scale to customers in the United States. The company offers Aurora Powerhouse, which is designed to produce between 15 and up to 75 megawatts of electricity. It is also commercializing nuclear fuel recycling and fuel fabrication technology that can convert used nuclear fuel into usable fuel for its reactors. The company was formerly known as AltC Acquisition Corp. and changed its name to Oklo Inc. in May 2024. Oklo Inc. was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

The nuclear & uranium complex

This bucket is really two trades sharing one story. The first is fuel: uranium miners (Cameco, NexGen, UEC, Energy Fuels) and the West's only listed enricher (Centrus), levered to a uranium price that recovered after a decade of oversupply. The second is reactors: Constellation runs America's largest nuclear fleet, BWX Technologies builds naval and government reactors, and Oklo and NuScale are pre-revenue startups designing small modular reactors. What revived the whole complex is electricity demand — above all from AI data centers, whose owners have signed long-term deals for nuclear power at premium prices. Be precise about what you own here: producing businesses with contracts and cash flow, or story stocks priced for a buildout that is still years away. Oklo is a pre-revenue developer of small fast reactors aimed squarely at data-center power deals — a story stock by construction.
