The renewables complex spans panel and equipment makers (First Solar, Enphase, SolarEdge, Nextracker, Array), a rooftop installer (Sunrun), and owners of operating wind and solar farms (Brookfield Renewable, and NextEra — which is also a huge Florida utility). These are very different businesses traded as one theme, and the theme is brutally sensitive to two things: interest rates, because projects and rooftop loans run on debt, and policy, because tax credits and tariffs can rewrite the economics overnight. Dispersion inside the group is enormous — a manufacturer with a fat US order book and an installer bleeding cash can sit side by side. Check margins, funding costs and policy exposure name by name before treating any move as a sector signal.
