About Energy Fuels Inc.
Energy Fuels Inc., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, recovery, recycling, exploration, operation, development, permitting, evaluation, and sale of uranium mineral properties in the United States. It operates through three segments: Uranium, REE, and HMS. It produces and sells vanadium pentoxide, rare earth elements, carbonate, and heavy mineral sands, such as ilmenite, rutile, zircon, and monazite. The company was formerly known as Volcanic Metals Exploration Inc. and changed its name to Energy Fuels Inc. in May 2006. Energy Fuels Inc. was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado.
The nuclear & uranium complex
This bucket is really two trades sharing one story. The first is fuel: uranium miners (Cameco, NexGen, UEC, Energy Fuels) and the West's only listed enricher (Centrus), levered to a uranium price that recovered after a decade of oversupply. The second is reactors: Constellation runs America's largest nuclear fleet, BWX Technologies builds naval and government reactors, and Oklo and NuScale are pre-revenue startups designing small modular reactors. What revived the whole complex is electricity demand — above all from AI data centers, whose owners have signed long-term deals for nuclear power at premium prices. Be precise about what you own here: producing businesses with contracts and cash flow, or story stocks priced for a buildout that is still years away. Energy Fuels produces US uranium and is building a rare-earths processing line at its White Mesa mill.
